Open Enrollment
To increase enrollment and maximize opportunities, a student may be reassigned to another school participating in open enrollment or the open enrollment lottery (lottery closed for application on March 15 - click here for more information). Those schools participating in open enrollment and the open enrollment lottery will be identified in a list approved annually by the board prior to March 1.
Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year began March 1 and ended August 15 for students to attend an open enrollment school on the first day of the 2025-2026 school year. Application for Open Enrollment 2025-2026 School Year
- Do not submit an open enrollment application if your child has already been approved through exit grade unless you have moved
- PCS Open Enrollment is closed. The open enrollment window will be available again to high school students starting on Nov. 13 before closing on Nov. 19. If you are enrolling in Pitt County Schools for the first time in the 2025-26 school year or have a situation that meets the reasons for transfer request outside of the open enrollment window as outlined by PCS Board Policy 4150, you may request reassignment by completing this form: 2025-2026 Student Reassignment Application.
